The Salamanca Market, Hobart 2

February 16, 2008

The fabulous Saturday Salamanca Market in Hobart has a wide variety of stands mixed in with those selling fresh local produce which I showed in the first post. There are also street musicians out to make a few dollars or to attract business to their friends’ or families’ stands. Enjoy the show as we did on February 9, 2008.

This young man sells blackberries next to his mother’s dahlia and other fresh flower stand. Linda could not resist buying from him.

Tasmania has several types of beautiful and strong wood. Fine turned wood is the island’s finest handcraft. We bought several pieces in the Salamanca Market.
